Paintings of Horses by a Horse Hater

In 2019 I moved to Alberta and a painting professor confided in me that many of his students kept doing paintings of horses and that he felt there was nothing left to be said about paintings of horses. I, a known hater of horses, thought this had to be false, and spent the month painting horses without looking at references because I simply do not desire to look upon a horse.

Here are my findings:

1. horses are fun to draw

2. i still don't like horses. they are big, scary, and can kill you

3. i love the idea of a horse

4. i lived in alberta for long enough that i think the painting professor was actually right, we don't need any more paintings of real horses, only mind horses
